About This Event

This focus of this session is nurturing nature’s elements in our practice. Explore the application of vata (movement and communication), pitta (transformation) and kapha (binding) in our expressions of yoga and receive several tips to apply to your class or personal practice.


About the Presenter

Dr. Keshia Nicole Abraham is a 750-hour Kripalu-certified Ayurvedic yoga specialist, initially certified in hatha yoga at Synergy Yoga, Miami, in 2002. She is the owner and operator of Soul Wisdom International, through which she shares the wisdom of Ayurveda, knowledge and experience about international education and her life’s work in African Diaspora literature and culture. She holds a doctorate in comparative literature from Binghamton University with concentrations in African and African diasporic women’s literature, popular education, and women’s studies. A graduate of Spelman College, her work in education abroad has given direction to her role as Dean of Arts and Sciences, Director of International Education, and Chair of Humanities at Florida Memorial University.
