Panel Discussion | Evolution of Yoga Summit and Blueprint, Kickoff

In this panel, leadership from Yoga Alliance, Accessible Yoga, and Yoga Service Council discuss and highlight the Evolution of Yoga Blueprint document created to raise questions, explore possibilities, and invite change in the areas of yoga and cultural appropriation, racism, consent, and accessibility. This conversation is followed by three more panels that dive deeper with experts in the areas discussed in the Blueprint.

CE Workshop | The Bhagavad Gita: Chapter Two and the Asana, Part 3

Author and longtime yoga practitioner Matthew Sanford comes together with Yoga Alliance’s VP of Standards Dr. Christa Kuberry for a probing multi-part discussion about Chapter Two of the Bhagavad Gita and its possible applications in asana practice. Conversation topics range from setting the historical context for this ancient text to insights that might be drawn from Arjuna’s moral dilemma and Krishna’s responses to him, to how a contemporary practitioner might integrate such insights into their yoga practice. Each session includes a short yoga practice.

CE Workshop | Separation: Yoga Teachers and Social Justice, Part 1

Inspired by presenter Susanna Barkataki’s book Embrace Yoga’s Roots, this four-part series explores key issues in our community and offers participants experience in powerful practices like yoga, conversation, breathing, and meditation. These practices help support us in mending our spirits as we act, transform, care, and support ourselves and others. Part 1 focuses on social justice.

CE Workshop | Unpacking Tantra: Global and Digital Tantric Worlds, Part 3

This robust three-part workshop series explores the meaning and relevance of the term Tantra, the types of authority and authenticity debates that shape the global-digital world of Śākta Tantra, and the relevance of additional terms such as Goddesses, Initiate, and Adept. Part 3 looks at authority, authenticity, and power dynamics in a global-digital Hindu Śākta Tantra world.

Panel Discussion | Evolution of Yoga Summit and Blueprint, Part 1: Increasing Accessibility

As a continuation of the Evolution of Yoga Summit and Blueprint series, this discussion looks at ongoing barriers that continue to keep Yoga an exclusive practice and proposes some possible solutions and ideas for moving forward and addressing these concerns. Presenters examine and deconstruct the following: the definition and principles of accessibility, what is keeping marginalized populations away from the practice, the visible and invisible barriers that make yoga inaccessible, and a path forward.

CE Workshop | Public Speaking and Confidence

You know what to do—now learn how to "say it like you mean it." Elizabeth Barry’s inspirational vision of public speaking and confidence helps yoga instructors find their authentic voice in and out of the studio, both on and off the mat. Learn how to speak like a leader and step into your voice in this uplifting workshop.

CE Workshop | Finding Your Ideal Yoga Students, Part 2

It can be tempting to dive head-first into the largest yoga market you can find and see how things go. However, tackling a big market right away is not always a wise idea. Aiming too high too fast can cause you to stretch your resources thinly and become overwhelmed. On the other hand, getting your start in a smaller (or niche) market is almost always a solid yoga business plan. Targeting a smaller customer base will enable you to pivot your product faster, scale seamlessly, and create opportunity to engage with your users regularly. This workshop takes a closer look at the benefits of defining your niche market and guides you through the process with easy-to-understand steps.

CE Workshop | Reflection: Yoga Teachers, Power, and Privilege, Part 2

Inspired by presenter Susanna Barkataki’s book Embrace Yoga’s Roots, this four-part series explores key issues in our community and offers participants experience in powerful practices like yoga, conversation, breathing, and meditation. These practices help support us in mending our spirits as we act, transform, care, and support ourselves and others. Part 2 focuses on power and privilege.

Community Sangha | Meditation and Active Dreaming

Explore the value of night-time dreams, liminal waking experiences, and even “ordinary” waking experiences to solve problems and discover allies. This community sangha reveals how mediation and active dreaming can help us recognize future challenges and opportunities, maintain health, reveal life patterns and themes, communicate with the departed, inspire creativity, unlock mysteries of relationships, and ultimately, reveal larger Purpose.

CE Workshop | The Sweet and Simple Practice of Mantras and Mudras (M&Ms)

Many yoga practitioners and teachers shy away from mudras and mantras as esoteric or religious practices. In this workshop, we focus on the science and practical relevance of their use in bringing out the potential of your yoga practice and teaching. The five elements and seven chakras are fundamental to the science of yoga and Ayurveda, and here we explore how mudras and mantras can also create necessary balance for optimal functionality. Mudras and mantras—as sweet and simple as M&Ms!

CE Workshop | Q&A Session: Follow-up to Yoga and Eating Disorders

This workshop serves as a follow-up to previous Yoga and Eating Disorders events available as recordings on yourya.org. Join presenter Chelsea Roff as she answers lingering and popular questions derived from this series and addresses new questions brought by event participants.
