CE Workshop Series | From Doing Yoga to Being Yoga, Part 1

We can "do" yoga for years, but it's only when we infuse our practice with the wisdom of its traditions and adapt it to the ups and downs of our daily lives that we become attuned to the potency of yoga's transformative power.

International speaker, activist, and yoga teacher Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and best-selling author and yoga teacher Barrie Risman share on how to unlock greater meaning and depth in your yoga practice and teaching. Let’s explore together what happens when we let yoga take the helm. Part 1 focuses on intention and the power of centering.

CE Workshop Series | Yoga Ethics and South Asian Alternatives, Part 2

This three-part workshop explores how yoga ethics may not be what many have come to expect in a Westernized world. Explore how yoga is a basic ethical theory that rivals familiar theories present in South Asia and the West, and how asana was not primarily a physical practice, but rather a philosophical exercise of ethics. Consider how colonialism continues to marginalize yoga ethics in contemporary discourse and make room for non-colonized yoga ethics. Part 2 focuses on yoga ethics and South Asian Alternatives.
