CE Workshop | We Are Not the Same: Working Practices for Engaging with LGBTQ2SIA+ and BIPOC Folks

with Ameerah Craigg. Learn how to create a more comfortable and equitable yoga space for historically marginalized folks, particularly LGBTQ2SIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Two-spirit, Intersex, Asexual, plus) and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) folks. CE Workshop | Make Savasana Sweeter with Sound

CE Workshop | Ayurveda: Practical Applications in the Teaching of Yoga, Part 3

with Anjali Sunita (E-RYT 500, YACEP).  Ayurveda is a sister science to yoga and one of the oldest natural healing systems on the planet, with South Asian roots. The final part of this three-part workshop series will narrow in on the key sites, gunas, and five sub-doshas of Vāta (the vayus), as they pertain to bodily functions, pranayama practices, and asana. There will be readings from classical sutras and a short grounding practice to balance vāta dosha (space and air elements). 

CE Workshop | Chair Yoga: Comfort and Stillness

with Maria Jones (E-RYT 200, RYT 500, RCYT, YACEP, BSc) and Krista Marzewski Without comfort, there is no stillness. Krista Marzewski and Maria Jones explore utilizing a chair to create space and comfort through the practice of chair yoga. Krista and Maria talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of being seated for prolonged periods of time and then take participants through a short chair-based yoga practice that aims to bring comfort and stillness in both mind and body.
